Activate Clitheroe is a group of individuals who believe that Clitheroe would benefit from quieter, safer streets where it’s easy to get about on foot, by bike or in a wheelchair.
We aren’t anti-car – in fact we’d like to improve parking provision in Clitheroe to encourage more visitors to our wonderful town centre.
But we do think that many shorter journeys are better made on foot, by bike or by mobility scooter and if we make the streets safer for pedestrians bikes or scooters, we believe more people will make healthier and more sustainable mobility choices.
We meet regularly in Clitheroe and organise events that explore the potential for increasing active travel in the town.
